Hermes Color Guide
When Hermès bags were first introduced, they were available in just five shades, which today form the core of classic colors.
These five iconic colors are: Noir (Black), Gold, Étoupe, Rouge H, and Orange H — each a timeless choice that transcends seasons and trends.
Till now, Hermès artisans have created over 250 colors, with new colors released every year. Colors are divided into two categories:
Permanent Colors — available year-round and restocked regularly. These include classics like Noir, Gold, Étoupe, and Fauve. If you are looking for a reliable, long-term investment piece, permanent colors are the safest choice.
Seasonal Colors — released in limited quantities each season and retired once sold out. These include coveted shades like Rose Sakura, Bleu Électrique, Vert Criquet, and Jaune Poussin. Seasonal colors are highly sought after on the secondary market and often command a premium.
